How to concentrate on blogging?

Number 4 on the list of things to do in order to concentrate on writing is "Stop with the blog already". That puts the blog in a rather bad position, doesn't it?

Its to me also a bit frustrating, that if you stop blogging for a week or two (because other things need to be done too) your readers drop immideatly from 30 to 15... of course, because there is nothing new and of interest on the blog.

Hans, I agree. A lot of us are artists too, with families, etc. So we blog, but have so many other things on our plates. Hard to blog every day. I try once a week.

I too disagree with blogging as a hinderance to writing in general. If nothing else, it gets the juices flowing, and therefore it can't be seen only as a waste of time where you could be getting "good writing" accomplished if you weren't blogging instead. Every track runner stretches first! If anything, it gives good opportunities for copy/pasting. thus being the opposite of being a hinderance...it is actually a notebook and an aid! [I just never do it...ha]
